- 1 can tomatoes (like you buy at the store) use 2 c. FRESH tomatoes chopped
- 1 can beans- use 3/4 dry beans or 2 c. cooked beans
- 1 T. FRESH HERBS-use 1/2 t. DRY HERBS (like the ones suggested in On-Hand Essentials)
- 1 large garlic clove-use 1/4 t. garlic powder
